The CTA, Centro Regionale di Teatro d'Animazione e di Figure di Gorizia - Italy, since 1994 has carried out an intense activity to promote and spread the "Theater of Figures" through the pro-duction of shows and the organization of festivals, workshops, exhibitions and events. It is a founding member of the Associazione dei Teatri di Figura (Association of Figure Theatres) / AGIS ATF and is recognized by the Ministry of Heritage and Cultural Activities as a National Fig-ure Theatre. Among the main initiatives that it organizes and promotes are: the Alpe Adria Puppet Festival (34rd edition in the 2025) – a cross-border festival about international figure theater that takes place in Gorizia, Grado and Nova Gorica in two periods: the end of August and the beginning of October; the Festival delle Valli del Natisone (26 editions). Among his most significant initiatives are the innovative and experimental Beckett and Marion-eta (2005-2006); Puppet and music (2007-2008) in Gorizia, Trieste and Ljubljana, and now the European project PUPPET & DESIGN (2020 – 2023), and now, on the occasion of Nova Gorica/Gorizia becoming the European Capital of Culture, the interreg project ART&PUPPET (2024-2026) with the CTA as its main partner. At the end, "I Pomeriggi d'Inverno" (Winter Afternoons) is remembered, a winter theater event dedicated to children that takes place in Gorizia on Saturday afternoons from the month of October to March for 25 years.
