Raumtraum APS is a professional theatre company founded in Trentino, Italy, in 2013. It develops projects in theatre production, contemporary playwriting, training and cultural programming, with particular attention to original writing, the centrality of the actor and a direct relationship with the audience. The company’s work moves across text-based theatre, monologue, contemporary reworkings of the classics, socially engaged theatre and essential performance forms, often built around a limited number of scenic elements and a strong acting presence. Its artistic research focuses on works that explore responsibility, memory, power, language, identity and conflict, with particular attention to the relationship between individual experience and the collective dimension. Raumtraum is active both in theatre production and in the development of cultural and territorial projects, collaborating with artists, companies, festivals, public bodies and institutions. In recent years, it has also strengthened its national and international touring activity, developing productions conceived for theatres, festivals and non-conventional spaces. The artistic direction is entrusted to Giulio Federico Janni, playwright, director, actor and author. www.raumtraum.it
