Bless is a solo contemporary circus performance that dives into the emotional

complexity of seeking familial approval, especially within the LGBTQ+

community. The show explores the longing for acceptance and the deep

wounds left by the absence of validation from loved ones. It touches on

universal themes of love, belonging, and the painful journey toward self-

acceptance when those closest to us fail to provide the support we crave.

At its core, Bless is a journey of vulnerability, resilience, and healing. It reflects

on the universal desire for approval and the scars that linger when it’

s absent,

inviting the audience to connect with their own experiences of family, identity,

and belonging. Through its powerful and emotive performances, Bless offers a

moving exploration of what it means to find acceptance—within ourselves and

from those we love.

The creative process aims to captivate the audience through a mesmerizing

fusion of circus arts, live music, and storytelling. Bless seeks to guide viewers

on an emotional journey, featuring aerial hoop, straps, handstands, heels

dance, and innovative rigging that showcase a dynamic spectrum of physical

expression. We aim for these technical elements, combined with live music, to

deepen the emotional resonance of the performance, immersing the audience

in the performer

s personal narrative. Through body language and the research

behind it, the show strives to bring forth the emotional layers of the story.
