Hangar Teatri

Hangar Teatri Company was founded in 2017 as a space for artistic research and creation, bringing together different styles and visions. Since then, we have created visual theatre productions that combine spoken word with physical theatre and are distinguished by a strong poetic vocation. Our language brings together body and voice, gesture and sound, creating theatrical visions that can move audiences and inspire reflection. We produce original works of theatre that emerge from observing reality and exploring themes connected to the places we inhabit. Our theatre takes shape through people’s stories and the social, cultural and human contexts that surround us. Alongside these creations, we develop works in which music intertwines with storytelling, giving voice to stories from the past that continue to resonate in the present. This dialogue between sound and words broadens the narrative and strengthens its evocative power. We also stage productions based on texts by contemporary and international authors, reinterpreting them through our own artistic sensibility and placing them within creative journeys that engage with current issues. We create theatrical readings as an immediate and intense form of connection between words and audiences. This format allows us to explore texts, voices and atmospheres with depth and simplicity. We develop projects involving members of the local community who choose to challenge themselves through the language of theatre. We believe in participatory art, in which the boundary between stage and reality becomes porous, fertile and deeply human. We also produce performances for young audiences, aimed at children between the ages of 3 and 8 and designed to stimulate imagination, listening and wonder through the poetic languages of the body, music and storytelling. Our work is sustained by an ongoing refinement of our artistic style and by continuous training, both individual and collective. For us, the creative process is a daily practice of growth, exchange and rigour, serving a form of theatre that is alive, necessary and shared.
