Chiara Rosenthal aka JAHnduj8tta Born on December 8th 1974, in Turin, she graduated in 2005 in History of Theater from DAMS at the University of Turin. Her anthropology thesis was titled L’arte del melting’pot, il teatro-danza come strumento di recupero e integrazione sociale The Art of the Melting Pot: Dance-Theater as a Tool for Recovery and Social Integration. She began dancing as a child, attending the classical and modern dance school directed by Susanna Egri. She participated in intensive workshops in Monte Carlo, Cannes, and New York, and later refined her skills at the Ecole-Atelier Rudra Bejart in Lausanne from 1995 to 1997. Special prize at Rieti Dance Competition in 1994 with her first choreography The sospended beat. In 1998, she won the Maria Chiara Marta Award at the Italian National Dance Encounters of the CNID with a choreography titled Polvere Dust. In the same year, this work was selected to represent Italy at the European Choreography Encounters in Lisbon, Évora, and Porto. She has participated as an actress, dancer, and choreographer in several theater productions in major European venues across Palermo, Berlin, London, Paris, Lyon, Barcelona. In 2009, she began a collaboration with Musica90. This artistic partnership led to the creation of works weaving together dance, imagery, and live music, as well as the conception and curation of the Improd@nce festival. In 2010, the festival involved internationally renowned artists, including choreographers Gregor Metzger, Marco Santi, and Alessio Silvestrin; visual artists Kristian Breitenbach, Frank Fierke, and Daniel Oberegger; and composers Hauschka, Giovanni Sollima, and Roderik Vanderstraeten. To date, she has conceived and realized more than 23 independent dance-theater works. Some of these are already part of the video library at CRUD Bella Hutter Regional University Center for Dance thanks to a collaboration with the G. Quazza Multimedia Laboratory in Turin. For over 20 years, she has taught dance-theater workshops for DAMS at the University of Turin, and in public kindergarten and elementary schools on behalf of the Mus-e Italia ETS Foundation. She has also worked as a classical and contemporary dance teacher in the most prominent private schools in Piedmont and Sicily. Furthermore, she has experience assisting people with disabilities, leading body expression workshops for organizations such as ANFFAS and CEPIM, and is active in parish youth centers and social centers. In 2021, she completed her master's degree in CAM Cinema, Performing Arts, Music and Media at the University of Turin. Her thesis, Il Metodo Rosenthal The Rosenthal Method, codifies her own original teaching method. It blends yoga, dance, music, and theater to convey peace and love through the care and harmonization of body, mind, and spirit in the search for the Self.
