Fraternal Compagnia APS and Teatro Strappato are pleased to present the international co-production ProPAXsim, a comedic performance inspired by Aristophanes’ Peace.

Written by Luca Comastri and directed by Vene Vietiez, the show explores the absurd pursuit of peace in a world marked by war and irrationality, and originaly transposes the humor of the great classical author by setting the play inside an asylum populated by masks.

The delirious setting of the asylum blends the grotesque universe of Commedia dell’Arte with Aristophanic comedy: here, masks convey the constant transformation of characters, resulting in a highly entertaining stage production that brings together a carousel of human types and multiple identities. In this universe, the absurd and the extraordinary coexist naturally, converging into an ordinary madness.

In this directorial vision, madness is understood not as a flaw, but as the most honest path to understanding peace.
