The theatre company Out of The Box Teater was founded in Denmark in 2022 following the meeting between Italian actress Simona Zanini and Danish musician Henrik Andersen. Initially based in Copenhagen, the duo created their first production, "The Shape of Sound", a work dedicated to music and artistic expression aimed at upper secondary schools. The company debuted with this performance at the April Festival 2023, a benchmark showcase for children's and youth theatre. In January 2024, the company relocated to Bergamo, where they continue their artistic research, creating "Elixir Aromatica: a journey into the wonderful world of spices", a project developed in collaboration with naturalist Manuelisa Reggibile and designed for hospitality schools and nature festivals.Alongside their theatrical productions — which include the recent staging of "The Magic Glasses", dedicated to families and primary schools — Simona and Henrik combine an intense pedagogical music and theatre activity (including within psychiatric communities) with a concert career featuring the formation Henrik Andersen & The Jazz Rebels.
