Miguel Ángel Pacheco is a physical performer, creator and producer native of Caracas, Venezuela; his works take different forms such as theater, dance, circus, and visual arts. He holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Arts & Performance from Bates College and studied Physical Theatre in Accademia Dell'Arte in Arezzo, Italy; where he currently works as an Artist in Residence. Moving images are at the core of Miguel's work. He emphasizes both individual search and collective collaboration. Whether it is his work as a dancer, stilt walker or carpenter, he is committed to exploring ideas in space with presence and witnessing. Movement, memory and fleeing landscapes fill his work; the work of gesture and understanding of what remains from what we do and don’t remember is currently the driving force of the work. Miguel has experience and extensive physical training from different companies such as Double Edge Theatre, U.S; Odin Teatret (Nordiskteaterlaboratorium), Denmark; TeatrZAR, Poland, Agile Rascals Theatre, US.
