The Compagnia del Buco is a clown and nouveau cirque company founded in Buco del Signore (Reggio Emilia, Italy) in 2017 as a project by Luca Macca and Simone Vaccari (Momi). Together, they study the art of clowning with international masters such as Andrea Menozzi (Circolabile), André Casaca, Jean Meningue, and Roberto Abbiati. They create circus and theatre performances for both street and stage, which have received numerous recognitions, including DOORS, finalist at Inbox Verde 2025. They experiment with new clown languages in natural environments with WATER, a performance involving a small boat designed for lakes and bodies of water. They continue their research into the relationship between object theatre and clowning, leading in 2025 to the creation of GAMBIARRA. In 2026 they premiere MAGMA, a claustrocomic adventure produced by Accademia Perduta / Romagna Teatri. They also run social circus workshops, creative woodworking labs, and cultural planning projects in the Reggio Emilia area.
